Urwerk UR-103T Tarantula Luxury Watch Review

Urwerk pushed the limits of high horology style with the 2003 UR-103; they did it again with the open dial UR-103.3 of 2005. For 2009, Urwerk's Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei unleashed this 1-of-60 limited edition rose gold Tarantula, the most revealing UR-103 of this historic series. Each 36.5mm wide by 50mm long Urwerk UR-103T features a clear sapphire crystal dome revealing the entire Geneva Cross digital time display system on which Urwerk has built its fame. All elements of the planetary device are visible in constant motion, and true to Baumgartner's roots as a master watchmaker, all elements are finished with exquisite detailing.
